About the Role

Agility Robotics deploys Digit — a humanoid robot — into customer warehouses, distribution centers, and manufacturing environments. Every customer deployment needs mechanical design work related to workcell layouts, custom fixtures and jigs and possibly additional safety guarding along with integration of off-the-shelf hardware components like barcode scanners and sensors.

This role will be a hands-on Applications Mechanical Engineer/Designer who can take a customer use case concept and turn it into a physical reality captured in CAD with a detailed BOM and documentation. This person will help deploy the design in our test cells and possibly in a customer facility if needed.



This is a “do” role. The person will design cell layouts, integrate an off-the-shelf scanner, and help the team troubleshoot fixtures as needed. The range matters more than depth in any single specialty.

About the Work
- Design customer workcell layouts — robot placement, material flow, operator access, safety zones, and integration with existing customer infrastructure.
- Design and detail custom fixtures, carts, jigs, staging equipment, and material handling interfaces specific to each customer deployment.
- Test and integrate off-the-shelf hardware components that have been vetted by the product design engineering team — barcode scanners, 2D code readers, sensors, light curtains, mounting hardware — into deployment configurations.
- Produce production-quality CAD models, detailed drawings, and BOMs suitable for fabrication, procurement, and field assembly.
