Tech Observer is seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Business Development to drive new business and revenue growth for its Contract Research Organization (CRO) and FSP business.

The Director will identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, diagnostics, digital health, and healthcare organizations.
This is a highly client-facing role responsible for developing target accounts, generating opportunities, building senior-level relationships, leading the sales cycle, developing solutions and proposals, negotiating commercial terms, and converting opportunities into long-term client relationships.

The ideal candidate will bring strong life-sciences industry knowledge, an established professional network, and a demonstrated track record of developing and closing new business.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
Business Development & Recent Business
- Develop and execute business development strategies to drive new-logo acquisition and revenue growth across Pharma, Biotech, MedTech, Diagnostics,



Digital Health, and Healthcare.
- Identify and prioritize high-potential target companies based on clinical development activity, funding, product development, regulatory milestones, and outsourcing needs.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through i ndustry relationships, networking, referrals, LinkedIn, conferences, partnerships, and targeted outreach.
- Develop relationships with senior decision-makers including CEOs, CMOs, COOs, VPs of Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, R&D;, and Procurement.
- Own opportunities from initial prospecting and qualification through discovery, solution development, proposal, negotiation, and contract closure.

CRO Solution & Sales Development
- Understand client clinical development and outsourcing requirements and position appropriate CRO/FSP solutions.
