Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end quality assurance testing of Power BI reports, dashboards, and data outputs prior to business UAT and production release.
- Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across source systems, data models, and report outputs.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and validation scenarios based on business requirements and defined KPIs.
- Conduct functional testing to ensure reports meet business logic, calculations, filters, and expected user behaviour.
- Perform data reconciliation and root cause analysis for discrepancies,
working closely with BI Engineers and Data Engineers to resolve issues.
- Serve as the primary QA gatekeeper, ensuring all reports and changes are thoroughly validated before release to business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with BI Engineering to validate current reports, enhancements, and data fixes in development and staging environments before business sharing.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to support structured UAT readiness, including preparing test datasets, scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
- Document testing results, defects, and resolutions, maintaining traceability and audit readiness.
- Ensure adherence to BI standards, governance practices, and data quality frameworks across all deliverables.
- Identify and proactively drive improvements in QA processes, testing coverage, and data validation practices.
- Support ongoing monitoring of production reports by validating data discrepancies, defects, and performance issues.
