Title:Backup & Disaster Recovery Engineer

nJob Responsibilities:

- Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise backup infrastructure across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.n
- Develop and maintain backup policies, schedules, and retention strategies aligned with business requirements and compliance mandates.n
- Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans for critical systems and applications.n
- Conduct regular DR testing exercises to validate recovery procedures and maintain Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) / Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) metrics for critical systems.n
- Perform data restoration requests in accordance with established procedures and SLAs.n
- Research and evaluate emerging backup and DR technologies and lead implementation projects for current platforms.n
- Develop automation scripts and workflows to improve operational efficiency.n




- Maintain regulatory compliance of backup and DR solutions and provide regular reports on backup performance.n
- Participate in audit activities and provide evidence of data protection controls.n
- Provide 24/7 on-call support for backup failures and emergency restoration requests.n

nJob Requirements:

- n
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.n
- 5+ years of experience in backup and disaster recovery engineering or systems administration.n
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, Veritas NetBackup, Dell EMC Avamar/Data Domain).n
- Proven experience designing and implementing disaster recovery solutions for mission-critical environments.n
- Demonstrated experience conducting DR tests and documenting recovery procedures.n
- Strong understanding of disaster recovery methodologies, failover/failback procedures, and business continuity planning.n
