Key Responsibilities

- Lead the delivery of complex solutions, coding larger features from start to finishn
- Actively participate in planning, and performing code and architecture reviews of their teams productn
- Help ensure the quality and integrity of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for their team and identify opportunities for improvement in how the team works, through usage of recommended tools and practices.n
- Lead the triage of complex production issues across systemsn
- Demonstrate creativity and take initiative in solving complex problemsn
- As a high performer, consistently deliver a high volume of story points relative to their teamn
- Aware of the technology landscape, plan delivery of coarse-grained business needs spanning multiple applicationsn
- Influence technical peers outside their teamn
- Set a consistent example of agile development practices and coach other engineers to work as a team with Product and Experience Design (XD)n
- Create and improve internal libraries and toolsn




- Provide technical leadership on the product and determine technical approachn
- Proactively communicate status and issues to their managern
- Collaborate with other teams to find creative solutions to customer issuesn
- Show a commitment to delivery deadlines, in particular seasonal and vendor partner deadlines that are critical to Best Buys continued successn

nRequirements

- 7+ years of relevant experience with a bachelors degree OR equivalent relevant qualified experience. Including:n
- n
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot frameworksn
- 4+ years of experience working with relational databases and NoSQL databasesn
- 4+ years of experience in designing and implementing micro-servicesn
- 2+ years of experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)n
- Experience with Full Stack software development (React, JavaScript, Typescript)n
- Experience with GraphQL and event-driven design
