Designation: Software Engineer

Department: Information Technology

Location: Ahmedabad, India (Primary) & Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (as required)

Reporting To: Group IT Head

Role Purpose:

Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience in application implementations, development, database management, and process automations. The role will focus on implementation of applications, developing and supporting in-house applications, integrating enterprise systems, automating business processes, and providing technical support for business-critical applications across the group.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, enhance, and maintain web and business applications.
- Support integrations between ERP, retail, finance, HR, and other business systems using APIs & database interfaces.
- Develop automation scripts and tools using Python, SQL, and PowerShell.
- Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and reports.
- Support application deployment, upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.




- Work with business users to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Maintain technical documentation and follow development best practices.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams during implementation and support activities.

Job Description Software Engineer

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

Experience:

- 5+ years of experience in software development and application support.
- Experience working with ERP or enterprise applications.
- Exposure to Power BI, reporting tools, or workflow automation solutions.
- Experience in Retail, FMCG, Distribution, Manufacturing, or Real Estate industries is an advantage.

Required Skills:

- Solid programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server / MySQL, or Oracle databases.
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) is preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Retail ERP and POS applications will be added advantages, LS Business central, SAP etc.
- Timely delivery of development and integration projects.
- Reduction in manual processes through automation.
- Application uptime and issue resolution effectiveness and business satisfaction.
- Fluent in English and Hindi. Preferred candidate profile
