This is a remote backend engineering opportunity for an early-career developer looking to build reliable APIs and contribute to a fast-moving technology platform. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers on both new feature development and production issue resolution. The role combines hands-on development, debugging, testing, and continuous improvement of backend services. You’ll have the opportunity to work with Python, Django, Django REST Framework, MySQL, and modern development workflows. Accountabilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain backend APIs using Python, Django,



and Django REST Framework.

Build new backend features and contribute to the technical implementation of planned sprint work.

Investigate, debug, and resolve production and on-call issues, prioritizing service reliability and customer impact.

Optimize existing APIs and troubleshoot performance or functional issues to improve reliability and maintainability.

Write and maintain automated tests to support code quality and stable releases.

Work collaboratively with experienced developers throughout the software development lifecycle, including development, debugging, code improvement, and deployment.

Use Git and GitHub/GitLab as part of collaborative development and version-control workflows.
