Job Description

The Staff Cloud Engineer is responsible for architecting, automating, and optimising Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, scalable, and cost-effective. They lead complex cloud initiatives, solve critical challenges, and drive cloud automation, security, and observability at scale. This role is ideal for candidates with 8+ years of experience who want to drive technical direction and innovation.
- Design, deploy, and optimise Azure compute (Virtual Machines, Functions, Container Apps), storage (Blob Storage, Managed Disks, Azure Files),



and databases (Azure SQL, Azure Database for PostgreSQL/MySQL, Cosmos DB).
- Architect Azure networking solutions (Virtual Network, Virtual WAN, ExpressRoute, Azure DNS, Network Security Groups, VPN Gateway, Application Gateway and Azure Load Balancer).
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for multi-subscription Azure environments using Terraform and Bicep.
- Lead CI/CD automation and DevOps tooling with Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
- Implement advanced Azure security and compliance with Microsoft Entra ID, Azure RBAC, Key Vault, Web Application Firewall, Defender for Cloud, and Microsoft Sentinel.
- Establish observability and monitoring using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Managed Prometheus, Azure Managed Grafana, and logging frameworks.
