GIS 66kV SUBSTATION - OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE
1. Daily Operations & Switching Activities
Supervise all switching operations, circuit breaker operations, and isolator switching per approved procedures. Monitor voltage, current, power factor (>0.95), and frequency. Coordinate with utility providers for planned switching and execute emergency operations. Maintain operations logbook with complete documentation.
KPI:
Zero unauthorized switching; 100% schedule adherence; Equipment uptime >99.5%
2. Safety Protocols & LOTO Procedures
Implement Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) and Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems for all maintenance activities. Conduct safety briefings, ensure proper PPE usage, establish isolation boundaries and earthing. Maintain safety registers and achieve zero electrical accidents.
KPI: Zero safety incidents; 100% LOTO compliance
3. Preventive Maintenance of GIS Equipment
Execute monthly visual inspections and quarterly electrical testing including insulation resistance (>10,000 MΩ), contact resistance (15,000 hours

Monitor SF6 gas pressure, purity, and moisture content (500 hours
