About Enhansafe Enhansafe India Pvt. Ltd. is a deeptech defense and homeland security company that designs, develops, and domestically manufactures Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). We work closely with defense, paramilitary, and government agencies to deliver indigenous, certified drone solutions.

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced professional to lead drone type certification, testing, and regulatory approvals for our UAS product line. The role requires hands-on prior experience securing certifications and clearances for drones/UAS in India, and in managing liaison with defense and government regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end

Type Certification (TC)

and

Certificate of Airworthiness (CoA)

processes for UAS platforms as per DGCA/QCI requirements. Plan, coordinate, and oversee testing campaigns

(flight testing, structural, EMI/EMC, environmental) required for certification. Drive and manage

CEMILAC airworthiness certification processes for defense-grade UAS. Manage compliance and certification under

CE marking and

BIS standards, as applicable. Own liaison and coordination with government and defense bodies , including DRDO, DGQA, DGAQA, CEMILAC, DGCA, QCI, and related agencies. Manage licensing and clearances including PESO (explosives/battery-related clearances), SCOMET export/import licensing, and other statutory approvals relevant to UAS manufacturing and export. Prepare, compile, and submit certification documentation, technical dossiers, test reports, and compliance files. Track evolving regulatory frameworks (DGCA CAR, Drone Rules 2021 and amendments,



MoD/MoCA guidelines) and advise internal teams on compliance impact. Coordinate with R&D;, quality, and production teams to ensure design and manufacturing meet certification requirements from the outset.

Represent

Enhansafe in meetings, audits, and inspections with regulatory and defense authorities. Maintain relationships and documentation trails for ongoing and future certification renewals.

Mandatory Requirements

Proven past experience in drone/UAS type certification, testing, and regulatory approvals — candidates without direct, demonstrable experience in this domain will not be considered. Hands-on experience with

CEMILAC approval processes . Experience obtaining/managing

CE and BIS certifications for electronic/UAS products. Demonstrated experience liaising directly with

DRDO, DGQA, DGS , or equivalent government/defence bodies. Working knowledge of

PESO and

SCOMET licensing and clearance procedures. Strong understanding of the Indian UAS regulatory landscape (DGCA Drone Rules, MoD procurement/certification norms).

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering or related field. 5–7 years of relevant experience in aerospace/defense certification, regulatory affairs, or quality assurance roles (adjust band based on seniority). Prior experience in a UAS OEM, defence manufacturing company, or DGCA/DRDO-affiliated organization strongly preferred. Excellent documentation, technical writing, and stakeholder coordination skills.

Ability to manage multiple certification tracks simultaneously under tight timelines.
