Role Description The Senior Research Assistant for Organic Synthesis will support and lead experimental work related to the development and optimization of synthetic routes for medicinal and specialty organic molecules. This full-time, on-site role is based in Vadodara and involves planning and executing laboratory experiments, maintaining detailed records, and ensuring compliance with relevant safety and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and monitoring reactions, purifying and characterizing compounds, analyzing experimental data,



and contributing to the scale-up of processes from laboratory to pilot or production levels.

The role includes collaborating with senior scientists and cross-functional teams, preparing technical reports and documentation, and participating in troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities in organic synthesis projects.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and Data Analysis abilities for interpreting experimental results and optimizing synthetic processes.

- Candidates should possess solid Research capabilities for literature review, route scouting, and method development in organic synthesis.

- Candidates should possess robust Laboratory Skills for safe handling of chemicals, execution of reactions, purification techniques, and compound characterization.

- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for preparing reports, documenting procedures, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

- Postgraduate or graduate degree in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or a related discipline.

- Hands-on experience in multi-step organic synthesis, reaction optimization, and scale-up in an industrial or advanced academic laboratory setting.

- Familiarity with cGMP/GLP practices, safety protocols, and scientific documentation standards.

- Experience with analytical instruments such as NMR, HPLC, GC, LC-MS, and spectroscopy techniques is highly beneficial.
