The Role

This role is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Human Resources (HR) technology solutions across the British Council. The role ensures that HR technology is aligned with business objectives, supports productive and user-friendly People processes, and delivers a seamless experience for employees and HR professionals. It also provides oversight of the People technology ecosystem, including SAP SuccessFactors, Talent Intelligence platforms, and other connected systems, while driving innovation, compliance, and operational excellence.

Reporting to the People Experience and Insight pillar,



the role is a key contributor to the organisation’s HRIS and People technology strategy. Working closely with Digital & Technology teams and external partners, the role focuses on embedding transformational ways of working through technology, optimizing system processes, and delivering scalable, sustainable solutions that enhance employee experience and business outcomes.

Main responsibilities

This role provides strategic leadership for the British Council’s People Technology landscape, ensuring HR systems such as SAP SuccessFactors, Talent Intelligence platforms, and connected tools are secure, scalable, compliant, and aligned with business priorities.
