Property Accounting - Senior Associate - 3 Years - Mohali Hiring an experienced Property Accountant / GL Accountant with strong hands-on expertise in accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closing activities. The role involves working with property managers, auditors, and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

- Compile and analyze financial information for preparation of financial statements and accounting reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare journal entries for the General Ledger, including reviewing calculations, supporting documentation, and account reconciliations.
- Handle Accruals, Prepayments, Trade Payables, Debtors, and Revenue reconciliations along with adjustment journals during financial pack finalization.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, resolve audit queries, and provide supporting documentation.
- Work closely with in office and property managers for financial pack reviews, journal adjustments, and timely reporting.
- Review budgets, revenues, expenses, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents and resolve discrepancies.
- Perform bank reconciliations, wire transfers, mortgage payments, and distributions while ensuring accuracy.
- Prepare monthly P&L;, Actual vs Budget, Variance Analysis, and Balance Sheet along with supporting reconciliations.
- Monitor revenue and expenditure trends and support accounting control procedures and expenditure management.




- Review fixed assets, asset capitalization, and depreciation activities.
- Prepare financial, accounting, administrative, and management reports as required.

Requirements:

- 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant / GL Accountant, preferably with a global organization.
- Strong knowledge of General Ledger, R2R, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience with P&L;, Balance Sheet, Accruals, Prepayments, AP, AR, Revenue, and Bank Reconciliations.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial statement preparation.
- Bachelor's degree in B.Com / B.Com (H) or equivalent accounting qualification.
- CA / ACCA qualification would be an added advantage.
- Previous experience in UK-based accounting and client management is good to have.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of property management and accounting systems such as Entrata and Yardi would be an advantage.
