Distinguished Engineer – Kubernetes Platform
Job Summary
We are looking for a Distinguished Engineer to lead and shape the future of our Kubernetes platform at Walmart Global Tech. This is a high-impact role focused on driving technical vision and execution at scale across one of the largest and most complex platform ecosystems.

You will define the long-term architecture and evolution of a next-generation Kubernetes platform powering massive workloads across AI/ML, data, and mission-critical applications. Operating at the intersection of distributed systems, large-scale infrastructure, and GPU acceleration, you will solve complex challenges at unprecedented scale while influencing platform direction across teams and domains.

In this role, you will lead the design of cloud-native, scalable, and resilient systems, and drive adoption of automation and next-generation platform capabilities, including AI-driven innovations. You will establish patterns that improve reliability, scalability, and developer productivity,



while aligning teams and standardizing platform architecture across the organization.

As a senior technical leader, you will translate strategy into architecture, mentor engineers, and foster a culture of innovation and excellence, playing a critical role in reducing operational complexity and enabling the next generation of platform capabilities at Walmart scale.

About the team
