Atlassian is looking for a Principal Frontend Software Engineer to design, build, evolve and maintain our web frontend systems and tools in order to deliver great experiences to our users.

Engineering is prioritising key initiatives which support our customers in moving to cloud while simultaneously continuing to bring the most value to our customers through investments across our core product suite – including Jira, Confluence, Trello, and Bitbucket.

You will report to a Senior Engineering Manager or Head of Engineering.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:
- Build high-performing client code that is rapid, testable, scalable, and high quality
- Plan, design, build, and implement scalable user interface systems that delight users
- Collaborate closely with other engineers, designers and managers to understand user pain points and iterate on great solutions
- Lead code reviews and documentation, and take on complex bug fixes
- Drive the success of projects, from the technical design, implementation, and launch to operation
- Onboard and mentor other engineers
