We’re looking for an experienced Embedded QA / Test Engineer to build the automated testing foundation behind a connected-device platform. You’ll own hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and firmware regression testing, helping ensure that every firmware build is reliable, validated, and ready before reaching devices in the field. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys combining hardware, firmware, Python automation and quality engineering to find problems before customers do. Location: Dominican Republic or India Employment Type: Full time Reports to: Delivery Lead What You’ll Own * Design and maintain hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test rigs for connected devices. * Build and automate firmware regression testing across kernels, drivers, and networking stacks. * Define and track test coverage, quality, and defect metrics. * Reproduce and verify complex hardware and firmware defects alongside Embedded Systems and Device Driver engineers.



* Own the go/no-go quality gate before OTA firmware releases. * Integrate automated hardware testing into the CI/CD pipeline. What We’re Looking For Must Have ✓ 4+ years of embedded or firmware QA experience ✓ Hands-on hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing experience ✓ Strong Python or similar scripting skills for test automation ✓ Ability to analyze firmware and Linux kernel logs ✓ Experience reproducing intermittent hardware/firmware defects ✓ Experience creating test plans from hardware or firmware requirements ⭐ Nice to Have ⭐ OpenWRT / Embedded Linux device testing ⭐ Experience with RF test equipment ⭐ CI-integrated hardware test automation experience ⭐ Buildbot or GitLab CI exposure Tech Stack Python • HIL Testing • Firmware Testing • RF Test Equipment • Buildbot • GitLab CI Your Impact Within your first two quarters, you’ll help deliver: ✓ Automated HIL regression testing running with every firmware build ✓ CI-integrated hard
