nRole Overview
nWe are looking for an experienced Database Administrator with strong DB2 (UDB) expertise and working knowledge of PostgreSQL, to manage, optimize, and support database environments across on-premise and cloud (GCP/AWS) infrastructure. The role involves database administration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and supporting cloud migration/modernization initiatives.

nKey Responsibilities

- n
- Administer, monitor, and maintain DB2 (UDB) database environments — installation, configuration, upgrades, and patchingn
- Manage PostgreSQL databases including performance tuning, replication, and backup/recoveryn
- Support database migration and modernization projects from DB2 to PostgreSQL/cloud-native platformsn
- Implement and manage database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategiesn
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize queries/indexesn




- Manage database security, user access, and compliance requirementsn
- Work with cloud-hosted database services on GCP or AWS (Cloud SQL, RDS, Aurora, or equivalent)n
- Collaborate with application, infra, and DevOps teams on database capacity planning and deploymentsn
- Maintain documentation for database architecture, configurations, and runbooksn

nRequired Skills
n
- n
- 5–9 years of hands-on DBA experience with solid DB2 UDB expertisen
- Working experience with PostgreSQL administrationn
- Cloud database experience on GCP or AWS (any one mandatory, both preferred)n
- Strong skills in performance tuning, backup/recovery, and high availability setupsn
- Experience with SQL, database security, and access managementn
- Good understanding of database migration methodologiesn
