Job Description Accountant (US Accounting)

Position: Accountant – US Accounting
Location: Noida, Uttar Pradesh
Shift: 5:30 PM – 2:30 AM IST
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team in Noida and support US accounting operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on exposure to General Ledger (GL), Record-to-Report (R2R) processes and accounting platforms such as QuickBooks and Xero.

The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing accounting activities, supporting month-end close, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting activities for US-based clients/entities.

- Perform General Ledger (GL) accounting and ensure accurate account maintenance.

- Handle Record-to-Report (R2R) activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations and month-end closing.

- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, provisions and reclassifications.

- Perform bank, balance sheet and account reconciliations.

- Assist with month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities.

- Maintain accurate books of accounts in QuickBooks and/or Xero.

- Review transactions and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and unusual transactions.

- Prepare schedules,



reports and supporting documentation for management and clients.

- Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve accounting-related queries.

- Ensure timely completion of assigned accounting activities while maintaining accuracy and quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related field.

- 3–8 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably with exposure to US accounting.

- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and/or Xero.

- Good understanding of GL and R2R processes.

- Strong knowledge of journal entries, reconciliations, accruals and month-end close.

- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.

- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting tools.

- Willingness to work in the 5:30 PM – 2:30 AM IST shift.

Preferred

- Experience working with US clients or US GAAP.

- Experience in an accounting outsourcing/BPO environment.

- Exposure to month-end close and financial reporting.

- Knowledge of AP/AR processes would be an added advantage.
