Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Fabric Manager to join our garment manufacturing exports house. The ideal candidate will oversee the procurement, quality assurance, and inventory management of fabrics to ensure seamless production and timely delivery of orders. This role demands strong technical knowledge of fabrics, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Fabric Procurement:
- Source fabrics based on design and production requirements.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best quality materials at competitive prices.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local and international fabric vendors.
2. Quality Assurance:
- Inspect fabric shipments to ensure they meet quality, color, and texture specifications.
- Address quality issues promptly by liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
- Implement and maintain quality control systems.
3. Inventory Management:
- Maintain optimal stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Monitor fabric usage during production to ensure minimal waste.
- Keep accurate inventory records and update the fabric database regularly.
4. Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Work closely with the design, production, and merchandising teams to meet production timelines and quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance on fabric properties and suitability for specific designs.
5. Market Research and Trends:
- Stay updated on fabric trends, new materials, and innovative techniques in the market.
- Propose fabric options that align with market demands and customer preferences.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (10-15 years) as a Fabric Manager or similar role in the garment manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of fabric types, testing standards, and production processes.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and MS Office.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

Pay: 80,000.00 - 100,000.00 per month
