Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Contract Governance Officer with strong expertise in Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), contract governance, vendor management and risk/compliance.

The role will involve managing and governing contracts across their lifecycle, from demand and sourcing through execution, renewal and termination. You will work closely with Business, Procurement, Legal, Risk, Compliance, TPRM and IT/Cybersecurity teams to ensure contracts meet business, financial and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle including sourcing, execution, amendments, renewals and termination.
- Understand business requirements and ensure appropriate contracts are available and aligned with business needs and budgets.
- Coordinate with Business, Procurement, Legal, Risk, Compliance, TPRM and suppliers throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Ensure contracts comply with internal governance standards, risk frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Review contracts from a risk and governance perspective and ensure appropriate risk mitigation measures are incorporated.
- Support vendor/supplier criticality assessment in coordination with relevant IT, Cybersecurity and Risk teams.
- Monitor external spend and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and improved governance.
- Prepare regular reports, dashboards and management updates related to contracts,



external spend, risks and governance.
- Identify process gaps and drive improvements in contract governance, controls and workflows.
- Ensure adherence to organisational policies, governance standards and regulatory requirements.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure timely contract renewals and avoid contractual or business risks.
- Support implementation of best practices across contract management and external spend governance.

Required Skills

- 6+ years of experience in Contract Lifecycle Management / Contract Governance
- Strong understanding of contract management and vendor governance
- Knowledge of risk management, governance and compliance frameworks
- Understanding of third-party risk management / supplier governance
- Good financial and commercial understanding
- Basic understanding of IT and Cybersecurity fundamentals
- Strong analytical, reporting and documentation skills
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and data analysis
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Solid negotiation, influencing and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple contracts, stakeholders and deadlines
