Role : Power Analysis / EMIR Engineer

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

- Perform static and agile IR drop analysis at block, subsystem, and SoC levels
- Analyze and fix Power EM and Signal EM violations as per foundry reliability rules
- Support power delivery network (PDN) design and optimization
- Run thermal analysis and correlate power, timing, and reliability results
- Collaborate with Physical Design teams during floorplanning, power planning, and routing
- Support silicon bring-up, correlation, and late-stage signoff issues

Senior Power / EMIR Engineer 5+ Years

- Execute block-level static IR and basic EM analysis under guidance
- Identify rail drop, current density, and hotspot issues




- Support IR/EM fixes through power grid enhancement and routing updates
- Assist in thermal analysis and report generation
- Work with PD teams during early power planning stages

Tools & Skills

- Power & EMIR Analysis: RedHawk, RedHawk-SC, Totem, Voltus, PTPX
- Physical Design Awareness: ICC2, Fusion Compiler, Innovus
- Timing & Correlation: PrimeTime
- Thermal Analysis: RedHawk Thermal or equivalent
- Standards: Foundry EM/IR reliability signoff rules
- Scripting: Tcl (mandatory), Python / Shell (preferred)
