About the job
ROLE PURPOSE
The Head of Marketing (India) is the senior-most marketing presence in our emerging India business and the person who will take Care ADHD to market in a country that has never heard of us (yet).
This is a 0-to-1 role. You are not scaling an established engine; youre building one - the funnel, the local channel mix, the first campaigns, the first partnerships, the first data - against a defined first-patient-on-pathway target. You do this while inheriting, rather than reinventing, the operating system, brand, tone and editorial standards already built in the UK, and adapting them for an Indian market where ADHD is under-diagnosed, often stigmatised, and governed by a materially different regulatory frame (ASCI, DPDP).
You bring strong craft in growth and performance marketing and the ability to lead a small, broad team well. Your superpower is building pace, clarity and an operating rhythm from a standing start - supported by a tech-forward, experimentation-led mindset and the intentional use of AI to drive quality and efficiency. This role is for a builder who is comfortable being hands-on now and scaling a function later.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Stand up the India go-to-market (0-to-1)
• With support and collaboration from the CPMO and UK Head of Marketing, lead on go-to-market execution for our India MVP: sequencing, channel selection, launch plan and first-patient acquisition pathway.
• Build the acquisition funnel from zero - no historical data, no existing pixel, no established channels - and the measurement to learn from it.
• Establish local channel economics fast: what works, what converts, and where the cost-effective demand is.
2. Acquisition,
performance and experimentation
• Lead acquisition performance in-market: funnel health, conversion, budget pacing and the experimentation roadmap.
• Bring robust judgement on channel economics and prioritisation when there is no baseline to lean on.
• Build measurement, tracking hygiene and reusable learning loops from day one.
3. Inherit and localise Marketing in India
• Adopt the UK marketing operating system (ClickUp and related tooling), operating rhythm and templates; adapt only where India genuinely differs.
• Work within brand, tone and editorial frameworks held in the UK; localise for the Indian market and feed local needs back into the UK function.
• Champion AI-supported workflows that improve pace and quality in a small team.
4. Build and lead a small, broad team
• Work with the CPMO to recruit a small, highly able marketing squad to drive our activity on the ground in Bengaluru – providing a new Senior Content Marketing Manager and Brand Partnerships Manager with management support day-to-day.
• Hire, onboard and grow the India team as the market scales; set clear ownership and expectations.
5. Regulatory and market context
• Ensure marketing is compliant with ASCI rules on health claims and influencer content, and with DPDP data-protection requirements.
• Navigate the local cultural framing of ADHD - stigma, awareness, and language - in how we show up.
• Keep clinical accuracy and sign-off intact on regulated or sensitive communications.
6. Partnerships-led growth
• Treat partnerships (clinics, healthcare organisations, consumer and B2B brands) as a primary route to credibility and distribution in a market with no brand awareness - not a peripheral activity.
• Direct the Brand Partnerships Manager against acquisition and credibility outcomes.
7. Cross-functional and cross-geography influence
• Bridge India and the UK across timezone and distance: Clinical, Product, Ops, Tech and the UK marketing function.
• Represent India marketing to UK leadership; surface risk early (capacity, reputational, regulatory) and bring decision-ready options to the CPMO.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• 8–10 years+ in marketing, with genuine 0-to-1, market-entry or early-stage scaling experience - not solely large-company operating.
• Strong B2C growth and performance instincts, comfortable building acquisition from a standing start.
• Deep India market fluency: metro consumer behaviour, local digital channels and platforms.
• Proven ability to lead a small, multidisciplinary team with clarity while remaining hands-on.
• Comfortable as the senior in-market leader operating on a UK reporting line and within UK-held brand frameworks.
• Awareness of ASCI and DPDP, or the ability to get up to speed quickly; healthcare or regulated experience beneficial but not essential.
• Tech-forward: confident with modern marketing tooling and generative AI.
