Acron Polymer Products is an established manufacturing company with over 11 years of experience. We design and manufacture consumer products, with a robust focus on silicone and related manufacturing technologies.

We are looking for a Senior 3D CAD Designer – Product Development who is quick, technically strong, comfortable working independently, and enjoys turning physical products and ideas into accurate, manufacturable 3D designs.

This is not just a CAD operator role. We are looking for someone who understands shape, surfaces, manufacturing and product design .

What you will work on

A large part of the role involves reverse engineering and developing consumer products .

Examples of work include:

- Receiving an imported consumer product and accurately recreating it in 3D for local manufacturing
- Designing silicone kitchenware, household products and other consumer products
- Creating complex curved and organic surfaces from physical samples or reference designs
- Modifying existing products to improve manufacturability or functionality
- Designing moulds and tooling for silicone products — training will be provided where required
- Designing jigs, fixtures and simple production aids for use inside our factory
- Creating prototypes on our resin 3D printers to physically verify designs before tooling

Key responsibilities

- Create accurate 3D product models
- Reverse engineer products from physical samples
- Create 2D manufacturing drawings with dimensions and tolerances




- Maintain drawing revisions and CAD documentation
- Work closely with the Product Head, tooling team and factory
- Operate and manage resin 3D printers for prototyping
- Design jigs and fixtures for internal manufacturing requirements
- Understand measurements from physical components using vernier calipers, radius gauges, fillet gauges and similar instruments
- Convert requirements into finished designs quickly, without needing extensive step-by-step guidance

What we are looking for

You should have:

- Around 4–5 years of professional CAD/design experience
- Exceptional candidates with less experience but strong demonstrated ability will also be considered
- Strong 3D surface modelling skills , especially curved and organic forms
- Strong reverse-engineering ability
- Good understanding of dimensions, tolerances and manufacturing drawings
- Ability to understand a brief quickly and translate it into a high-quality model
- A practical product-design mindset
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple design requirements

Fusion 360 is our preferred software.

However, if you are highly proficient in software such as Rhino, Blender or another professional 3D modelling/CAD platform , we are open to discussing this. You should either know Fusion 360 or be willing to learn it.

Preferred background





We would especially like to meet candidates who have experience in:

- Consumer product design
- Plastic product design
- Silicone or rubber products
- Injection moulding or compression moulding
- Tooling or mould design
- Product development
- Reverse engineering

A B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, although candidates from a strong Product Design background will also be considered.

Product thinking is a bonus

Initially, your focus will be on developing and indigenising products that are currently imported.

However, if you are someone who also enjoys researching products, identifying opportunities and developing new, commercially relevant product ideas , there will be plenty of opportunity to grow into this area.

We are happy to provide training and manufacturing exposure to help the right designer develop further.

Working details

- Location: Chandivali, Mumbai
- Office hours: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Working days: Monday to Saturday
- Every second Saturday is a half day
- Sundays are paid holidays
- This is an in-office position only
- Candidates should be able to commute comfortably to Chandivali
- Preferred joining time: within 15 days

Selection process

Candidates should be prepared to share a portfolio of previous 3D CAD/product design work .

Shortlisted candidates will also complete a practical CAD test , as we care more about actual design ability, speed and problem-solving than simply the number of years on a CV.
