Backend Developer 1 to 4 years experience | On-site, Kanchrapara

OBS Digital Services is looking for a Backend Developer to join our team in office in Kanchrapara. You'll work on [client projects / our own products swap in whichever applies] building and maintaining the server side of real applications that are already in use.

What you'll do

- Build and maintain REST APIs and backend logic for [web applications / client projects]
- Design and work with databases writing efficient queries, not just CRUD
- Fix bugs in existing code and understand systems you didn't originally write
- Integrate third-party APIs (payments, SMS, email, auth, etc. as needed)
- Work with the frontend team to make sure the API actually fits what the screen needs
- Deploy and monitor your own code not just hand it off and forget it

What we're looking for

- 14 years of hands-on backend development experience
- Solid with [Node.Js/Express or PHP/Laravel, or Python/Django pick what matches your stack] and SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL)



or MongoDB
- Comfortable writing and debugging your own code without step-by-step hand-holding
- Understanding of REST API design, authentication (JWT/sessions), and basic security practices
- Git for version control comfortable with branches and resolving conflicts
- Able to read an error message and find the actual cause, not just search-and-paste a fix

Nice to have

- Experience with [Docker / AWS or any cloud hosting / CI-CD]
- Exposure to a frontend framework (React, Vue) enough to talk to frontend devs in their language
- Prior experience in a client-services or agency environment, handling multiple projects

- Salary: 20,000 35,000/month, based on experience and what you can demonstrate in the interview
- Location: Kanchrapara, West Bengal on-site only, not remote or hybrid
