Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Safety, Health & Setting (SHE/HSE) Specialist with a strong background in ports, harbors, marine terminals, dredging, coastal, and maritime infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will support the Resident Engineer/Construction Manager in ensuring compliance with project HSE requirements, maritime safety standards, environmental regulations, and client specifications. The role will focus on fostering a strong safety culture while ensuring safe execution of marine and port construction activities.
Assist and support the Resident Engineer/Construction Manager in implementing project-specific HSE requirements and objectives.
Develop, implement, and monitor Health, Safety & Setting (HSE) policies, procedures, and management plans.
Identify workplace hazards, conduct risk assessments, and recommend mitigation measures.
Ensure compliance with applicable local and international safety regulations, standards, and client requirements.
Ensure compliance with environmental permits, EIA requirements, and regulatory obligations for marine and coastal projects.




Monitor environmental impacts associated with dredging, reclamation, marine construction, and port operations.
Implement environmental protection measures related to water quality, sediment control, waste management, spill prevention, dust suppression, and noise control.
Monitor safe execution of marine construction activities, including quay walls, jetties, breakwaters, marine piling, berthing facilities, and offshore works.
Ensure marine vessels, barges, workboats, and floating equipment comply with project HSE requirements.
Review marine traffic management plans and interface management procedures.
Verify implementation of lifesaving equipment, emergency rescue systems, and work-over-water safety measures.
Conduct routine HSE inspections, audits, and compliance assessments across construction sites, marine facilities, and contractor operations.
Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to protected work practices by all personnel.
Manage contractor and subcontractor HSE performance and compliance.
