Job Description – GNM / B.Sc. Nursing Fresher Staff Nurse

Position: Staff Nurse
Qualification: GNM / B.Sc. Nursing

Reporting To: Nursing Incharge / Nursing Superintendent

Job Summary

The Staff Nurse will be responsible for providing protected, compassionate, and quality nursing care to patients under the guidance of doctors and senior nursing staff. Freshers will receive appropriate orientation and on-the-job training as per hospital requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Provide basic nursing care to patients.
Monitor and record vital signs such as BP, pulse, temperature and SpO₂.
Administer medicines and treatments as prescribed by the doctor.
Assist doctors during examinations and procedures.
Maintain proper patient nursing records and documentation.
Monitor patients and promptly report any changes in condition.
Maintain proper hygiene, comfort and safety of patients.
Follow infection-control and hand-hygiene practices.
Assist in admission, transfer and discharge procedures.
Handle and maintain nursing equipment properly.
Follow hospital policies, protocols and NABH standards.




Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Communicate politely and professionally with patients and attendants.
Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff and other hospital departments.
Participate in hospital training and emergency procedures.
Perform duties as assigned by the Nursing Incharge / Nursing Superintendent.

Eligibility
GNM or B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
Freshers are welcome to apply.
