Machine Setup & Calibration: Adjust voltage, wire feed speed, torch angle, and CO2 gas flow rate based on metal thickness and joint type.
Material Prep & Alignment: Clean, bevel, measure, cut, and clamp steel plates, pipes, or structural parts before welding.
Welding Execution: Lay clean, solid welds (fillet, butt, lap joints) on carbon steel and structural assemblies.
Quality & Defect Inspection: Check finished welds visually for porosity, cracks, or burn-through; chip away slag and grind down excess spatter.
Blueprint Reading: Interpret welding symbols, technical drawings, and work instructions to meet exact specifications.
Safety & Maintenance: Wear required PPE (welding helmet, heavy gloves, leather apron), ensure proper ventilation, and perform routine maintenance on welding guns and nozzles.
