Accountant — Job Description

Job Title: Accountant

Department: Finance & Accounts

Reports To: Finance Manager / Accounts Manager

Job Summary

An Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, recording daily transactions, preparing financial reports, managing invoices and payments, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting and tax requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain books of accounts and financial records.

Record daily sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.

Prepare invoices, bills, vouchers, and payment documents.

Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Monitor outstanding payments and follow up on receivables.

Assist with payroll and expense processing.

Prepare data and documents for audits.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and applicable tax regulations.

Assist with GST, TDS, income-tax, and other statutory filings, as applicable.

Maintain proper documentation of financial transactions.





Identify accounting discrepancies and help resolve them.

Support management with financial information and reports.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.

Knowledge of basic accounting principles.

Familiarity with Tally/ERP software and MS Excel.

Knowledge of GST and TDS is beneficial, particularly for roles in India.

Positive numerical and analytical skills.

Robust attention to detail and accuracy.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
