Position: Assistant Professor – Hotel Management
Specialization: Housekeeping / Food & Beverage Services
Department: School of Hotel Management

Key Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate Hotel Management students as per the prescribed curriculum.
Handle theory and practical classes in the respective specialization.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, and assessments.
Conduct practical sessions, demonstrations, examinations, and evaluations.
Guide students in academic projects, internships, and industry training.
Maintain academic records, attendance, internal assessment, and examination-related documentation.
Participate in departmental meetings, seminars, workshops, and other academic activities.
Support ERP and examination-related academic processes.
Contribute to curriculum development and other departmental responsibilities.
Maintain industry-relevant knowledge and promote practical learning among students.

Specialization – Housekeeping
Teach core subjects related to Housekeeping Operations.
Conduct practical training in room servicing, cleaning procedures, linen management,



laundry, housekeeping equipment, and related operations.
Train students in hotel housekeeping standards, safety, hygiene, and guest-service practices.

Specialization – Food & Beverage Services
Teach core subjects related to Food & Beverage Service.
Conduct practical training in restaurant service, table setup, food service techniques, beverage service, menu knowledge, and guest handling.
Train students in skilled F&B; service standards, hygiene, and hospitality practices.

Qualification:
Master’s Degree in Hotel Management / Hospitality Management / relevant discipline from a recognized university.
NET/SET/Ph.D. as per applicable university/UGC norms.
Relevant teaching and/or industry experience will be an advantage.

Skills Required:
Valuable communication and presentation skills, practical knowledge, classroom management, student mentoring, and proficiency in academic/ERP-related activities.
