Job Title: DB2 Database Administrator (DB2 UDB) Location: Bangalore / Gurgaon Experience: 5–9 Years Employment Type: Full Time (Hybrid) Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator with solid DB2 (UDB) expertise and working knowledge of PostgreSQL, to manage, optimize, and support database settings across on-premise and cloud (GCP/AWS) infrastructure. The role involves database administration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and supporting cloud migration/modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities - Administer, monitor, and maintain DB2 (UDB) database settings — installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching
Manage PostgreSQL databases including performance tuning, replication, and backup/recovery
Support database migration and modernization projects from DB2 to PostgreSQL/cloud-native platforms
Implement and manage database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize queries/indexes
Manage database security, user access, and compliance requirements




Work with cloud-hosted database services on GCP or AWS (Cloud SQL, RDS, Aurora, or equivalent)
Collaborate with application, infra, and DevOps teams on database capacity planning and deployments
Maintain documentation for database architecture, configurations, and runbooks Required Skills - 5–9 years of hands-on DBA experience with robust DB2 UDB expertise
Working experience with PostgreSQL administration
Cloud database experience on GCP or AWS (any one mandatory, both preferred)
Robust skills in performance tuning, backup/recovery, and high availability setups
Experience with SQL, database security, and access management
Good understanding of database migration methodologies Good to Have - IBM DB2 certification
AWS/GCP Database Specialty certification
Exposure to automation/scripting (Shell, Python) for DBA tasks
Experience with mainframe DB2 (z/OS) environments Education: B.E./B.Tech/MCA or equivalent
