Role Description This is a full time, on-site role for a Tandoori Chef at VDC Restro, located in Delhi, India.

The Tandoori

Chef will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of vegetarian tandoori items, including breads, starters, and main-course dishes, while maintaining authentic flavors and consistent quality. Daily tasks include marinating ingredients, managing tandoor temperatures, monitoring cooking times, and ensuring proper portioning and plating. The role also involves maintaining kitchen hygiene and safety standards, coordinating with other kitchen staff to manage orders, and following restaurant recipes and processes.

Chef will help with inventory and ingredient checks, support menu development, and contribute to efficient kitchen operations during peak hours.

Qualifications
Strong experience in tandoor operations, including managing tandoor heat, timing, and preparation of vegetarian tandoori dishes.
Hands-on experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in vegetarian or North Indian cuisine.
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and basic kitchen sanitation standards.
Ability to work efficiently during peak hours, follow standardized recipes, and maintain consistency in taste and presentation.
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with kitchen and service staff.
Attention to detail, reliability, and a positive attitude toward learning and adapting to restaurant requirements.
Prior experience as a Tandoori Chef or Cook in a restaurant or hotel; culinary training or certification is an added advantage.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
