We are looking for an experienced Senior API & Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in IBM DataPower, event gateways, cloud infrastructure, automation, and Kubernetes to design, manage, and optimise enterprise integration and infrastructure environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IBM DataPower, AWS, Linux, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, and Ansible, along with strong troubleshooting and operational capabilities. The role requires a balance of technical expertise, automation, infrastructure management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

- Administer, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot IBM DataPower environments.
- Manage and support enterprise API and event gateway platforms.
- Configure and maintain API gateways, routing, security policies, integrations, and related components.
- Support AWS cloud infrastructure and enterprise application environments.
- Manage and troubleshoot Linux-based infrastructure and services.
- Support Kubernetes clusters, workloads, deployments, and containerised applications.
- Develop and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated build, deployment, and infrastructure workflows.
- Implement infrastructure automation using Terraform and Ansible.
- Automate repetitive operational and infrastructure tasks to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Monitor system health, availability, performance, and capacity across infrastructure and integration platforms.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Coordinate with application, network, security, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to resolve technical issues.
- Support infrastructure upgrades, migrations, patching, configuration changes,



and technology refresh initiatives.
- Implement and maintain secure, reliable, and highly available infrastructure environments.
- Follow ITIL-based incident, problem, change, and service-management processes.
- Maintain technical documentation, configuration records, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.
- Contribute to infrastructure optimisation, automation, standardisation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What Makes You a Great Fit

- 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, API management, DevOps, cloud engineering, or enterprise integration.
- Robust hands-on experience with IBM DataPower.
- Experience working with event gateways, API gateways, enterprise integration, and API management.
- Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services and infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with Linux administration and troubleshooting.
- Practical experience with Kubernetes and containerised environments.
- Strong experience with GitLab Pipelines and CI/CD automation.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure monitoring, availability, performance, security, and reliability.
- Experience supporting production environments and resolving complex technical incidents.
- Good understanding of ITIL processes, including incident, problem, change, and service management.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Ability to work effectively across infrastructure, application, DevOps, security, and operations teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive technical issues through resolution.
- Proactive approach to automation, operational improvement, and infrastructure standardisation.
