We design and manufacture consumer products, with a strong focus on silicone and related manufacturing technologies.We are looking for a Senior 3D CAD Designer – Product Development who is fast, technically strong, comfortable working independently, and enjoys turning physical products and ideas into accurate, manufacturable 3D designs.This is not just a CAD operator role. We are looking for someone who understands shape, surfaces, manufacturing and product design.What you will work onA large part of the role involves reverse engineering and developing consumer products.Examples of work include:Receiving an imported consumer product and accurately recreating it in 3D for local manufacturingDesigning silicone kitchenware, household products and other consumer productsCreating complex curved and organic surfaces from physical samples or reference designsModifying existing products to improve manufacturability or functionalityDesigning moulds and tooling for silicone products — training will be provided where requiredDesigning jigs,



fixtures and simple production aids for use inside our factoryCreating prototypes on our resin 3D printers to physically verify designs before toolingKey responsibilitiesCreate accurate 3D product modelsReverse engineer products from physical samplesCreate 2D manufacturing drawings with dimensions and tolerancesMaintain drawing revisions and CAD documentationWork closely with the Product Head, tooling team and factoryOperate and manage resin 3D printers for prototypingDesign jigs and fixtures for internal manufacturing requirementsUnderstand measurements from physical components using vernier calipers, radius gauges, fillet gauges and similar instrumentsConvert requirements into finished designs quickly, without needing extensive step-by-step guidanceWhat we are looking forYou should have:Around 4–5 years of professional CAD/design experienceExceptional candidates with less experience but robust demonstrated ability will also be consideredStrong 3D surface modelling skills, especially curved and organic formsStrong reverse-engineering abilityGood understanding of dimensions, tolerances and manufacturing drawingsAbility to understand a brief quickly and translate it into a high-quality modelA practical product-design mindsetAbility to work independently and manage multiple design requirementsFusion 360 is our preferred software.However, if you are highly proficient in software such as Rhino, Blender or another professional 3D modelling/CAD platform, we are open to discussing this.
