Job DescriptionHiring for an Associate in Indirect Tax - Advisory & Litigation at Nagpur Office NnKeyAccountabilities: Nn In-depth researchand analysis of legal provisions. N Drafting of advice, opinions and compliance reports N Preparation of Power Point presentations for client meetings, trainings, seminars etc. N Analysis of client datafor estimating tax impact on business transactions N Scenario building for identifying most tax efficient business model N Contributing in form ofarticles, monographs, etc N Preparing reply to Showcause notice/audit replies. N Meeting with the tax officers for hearing as and when required N Preparing tax appeals to be filed at the Joint Commissioner (Appeals) N Preparing tax appeals to be filed at the Court. N Assisting seniors for representation before various judicial forums. N Comprehensive research on various topics. NnnClient service delivery/execution: Nn Ability to proactively identify and discuss technical issues with clients while being mindful of firm risk issues N Handle tax matters withregard to preparation of submissions, replies to notices, appeals etc., meeting the tax authorities, representation during appeals along with seniors etc. N Executes the work on a multiple client base. Assumes near independent responsibility for smaller clients N Develops rapport with middle layers of client management. NnnDevelop commercial acumen:



Nn Stays abreast of firm wide and competitor activities and general business trends N Brings value to the client and manager by applying this knowledge in delivering solutions to clients NnnNetworking & Identification of opportunities: Nn Begins to identify new opportunities for existing clients and communicates to managers N Networks internally within the peer group and other levels in the firm in order to gain understanding of issues that may impact his clients N Compiles legal databaseand contribute in study session while continuously updating with latest legal developments such as circulars, notifications, decisions NnnDevelops Robust knowledge base: Nn Stay abreast withthe latest development in tax and other laws. N Contributes to the knowledge management activities of the firm. NnnDesired Skills and Competencies: Nn Excellent Communication and Drafting Skills. N Strong Analytical and Research skills N Proactive, reliable andwith an attention to details NnnExperience and Education: Nn CA or Law Graduate from a known Law School with a strong academic track record N 1-2 years of post-qualification experience in Indirect tax in the field of litigation or advisory N Prior experience in Indirect Tax would be preferred i.E.
