Role: Subject Specialist - English/Social Science,Agartala, Tripura, Experience: 10+ Salary: 9-10 LPA_________________________________________________________________About the role: The Subject Specialist will strengthensubject-specific teaching and learning by designing diagnosticassessment frameworks, developing high-quality learning resources,and supporting institutional capacity building. The role will workclosely with the Programme Manager – Classroom Resources andcontribute towards improving educational outcomes throughcurriculum-aligned resources, professional development, andcontinuous academic review. Key Responsibilities : 1. DevelopMethodology, Framework, and Tools for Diagnostic Assessment andSelf-Assessment Design and create comprehensive methodologies,frameworks, and tools for conducting diagnostic andself-assessments for students in English. Ensure that themethodology and tools support teachers in evaluating and addressingsubject-specific learning needs effectively. 2. Conduct CapacityReview of SCERT and DIETs Support the development of methodologies,frameworks, tools, and timelines for conducting capacity reviews ofSCERT and DIETs across subjects. Ensure the review processevaluates institutional strengths and gaps to support informedimprovements in subject-specific education. 3. Develop LearningResources for SCERT, DIET Faculty, Teachers, and Students Createengaging learning resources including lesson plans, handbooks,student workbooks, and teaching-learning materials. Ensureresources are aligned with NCERT/state curriculum, updated,comprehensive, and accessible. 4. Conduct Orientation and CapacityBuilding Sessions Organise orientation and capacity-buildingsessions for SCERT, DIET, State Resource Group (SRG)



members,master trainers, and teachers. Facilitate training focused onpedagogy, instructional strategies, and subject contentproficiency. 5. Quality Assurance (QA) Visits Conduct QA visits toassess the implementation and effectiveness of educationalinitiatives. Provide constructive feedback and identify improvementareas to enhance programme quality. Essential Requirements Strongbelief in the power of quality education to improve social andeconomic outcomes for children. Deep understanding of the educationsector. Postgraduate degree in English with a minimum of 2 years ofexperience in creating structured lesson plans for Grades 6–12.Preference for candidates proficient in Bangla, Kokborok, or otherdialects of Tripura. Strong command over the subject with deepconceptual understanding. Excellent interpersonal, written, andverbal communication skills. Familiarity with educationalprogrammes and best practices in education in India. Ability toconduct research and analyse educational data and trends. Abilityto develop effective instructional materials and learner-centricapproaches. Adaptability towards evolving educational technologiesand practices. Desirable Requirements Robust facilitation andstakeholder engagement skills. Passion for creative problem-solvingand innovation. Experience in developing educational resources,research papers, and training materials. Knowledge of currentresearch and evaluation practices in education.
