Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist with strong expertise in Core Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP and Data Science. The candidate will be responsible for developing end-to-end machine learning solutions, building predictive models, extracting insights from complex datasets, and translating business problems into scalable data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement Core Machine Learning models for classification, regression, clustering, forecasting and recommendation use cases.
- Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, exploratory data analysis (EDA) and statistical analysis.
- Design, train, validate and optimize Machine Learning and Deep Learning models.
- Work on NLP use cases such as text classification, sentiment analysis, text extraction, similarity, topic modelling and information retrieval.
- Apply appropriate ML algorithms and evaluate model performance using relevant metrics.
- Perform model tuning, feature selection and hyperparameter optimization.
- Translate business requirements into analytical and machine learning solutions.
- Work with large and complex datasets to identify patterns, trends and actionable insights.
- Collaborate with engineering, product and business teams to deploy ML models into production.
- Monitor model performance and continuously improve model accuracy and scalability.
- Stay updated with emerging developments in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP and AI.

Required Technical Skills

Core Machine Learning





- Strong understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning.
- Regression, Classification, Clustering, Decision Trees, Random Forest, XGBoost/LightGBM, SVM, KNN.
- Feature engineering, model selection, cross-validation and hyperparameter tuning.
- Strong understanding of model evaluation and statistical concepts.

Deep Learning

- Hands-on experience with Neural Networks, CNNs, RNNs/LSTMs and related architectures.
- Experience with TensorFlow / PyTorch / Keras.
- Understanding of deep learning model training, optimization and evaluation.

NLP

- Strong understanding of NLP concepts and text-processing techniques.
- Experience with text classification, tokenization, embeddings, TF-IDF, similarity and entity extraction.
- Exposure to Transformers/BERT or other modern NLP architectures is preferred.

Programming & Data

- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Experience with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with structured and unstructured data.
- Experience with data visualization using tools such as Matplotlib, Seaborn or equivalent.

Good to Have

- Experience taking ML models from development to production.
- Knowledge of ML model deployment, APIs and MLOps.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Experience with Generative AI/LLMs is an added advantage.
- Robust problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related quantitative field.

Experience

4–9 years of relevant experience in Data Science / Machine Learning, with strong hands-on experience in Core ML, Deep Learning and/or NLP.
