Job Description: Electrician & Maintenance Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and responsible Electrician & Maintenance Technician to handle the electrical maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the organisation’s premises and equipment. The role will involve ensuring the safe and efficient functioning of electrical systems, lighting, switches, wiring, appliances, and other facility-related maintenance requirements, along with supervising routine maintenance work.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of electrical wiring, switches, sockets, fixtures, and circuits.
- Maintain and troubleshoot lighting systems, fans, air conditioners, and other electrical appliances/equipment.
- Identify electrical faults and undertake timely corrective and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure proper functioning and safe operation of all electrical installations and equipment.
- Conduct routine checks of electrical systems and premises to identify maintenance or safety issues.
- Handle minor repair and maintenance work related to the building, fixtures, fittings, and other facility infrastructure.
- Coordinate with external technicians, vendors, and service providers for specialised repair and maintenance work.
- Supervise and monitor maintenance activities carried out by external agencies or other workers.
- Maintain records of maintenance work, repairs, equipment servicing, and replacement of electrical components.
- Ensure availability and proper upkeep of essential electrical tools, spare parts, and maintenance materials.




- Follow workplace safety procedures and ensure compliance with applicable electrical safety standards.
- Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns, power-related issues, and urgent maintenance requirements.
- Support the smooth day-to-day functioning and upkeep of the organisation’s premises.

Requirements

- ITI / Diploma / equivalent qualification in Electrical & Maintenance Work.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance and facility upkeep preferred.
- Practical knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Ability to supervise and coordinate routine maintenance activities.
- Knowledge of electrical safety practices and basic workplace safety requirements.

Preferred Skills

- Hands-on experience in building/facility maintenance.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently handle routine electrical and maintenance requirements.
- Responsible, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple maintenance tasks and respond to urgent requirements.

Working Conditions

- Work will involve regular movement across office, laboratory, facility, and other premises.
- May require working with electrical systems, equipment, and maintenance tools.
- Occasional support outside regular working hours may be required during urgent breakdowns or maintenance situations.

Compensation

Market-competitive salary + benefits

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
