Job Title: Manager – Accounts & Finance
Department: Accounts & Finance
Experience Required: 14+ Years
Location: Mulund, Mumbai
Reporting To: Accounts Head / CFO
Job Summary
The one will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounts payable operations, vendor reconciliations, banking and forex compliance, MIS reporting, and cash flow management, while leading a team to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and cost efficiency across all finance functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Payments & Vendor Management
- Verify creditors' bills, including logistics bills cleared by the team, before submitting to management for payment.
- Verify credit notes and debit notes related to purchases; ensure payments are made on time and deductions are applied correctly. Flag any issues to seniors/management.
- Verify advances paid to vendors; ensure goods/services are received against them, invoices are booked in the system, and excess advances are recovered.
- Ensure all recurring payments are made on time; verify payable ledgers, provisions, and expense payables, and rectify any errors.
- Ensure vendor account balances are reconciled and resolve discrepancies promptly.
MIS & Reporting
- Monitor raw material (RM) outstanding and follow up on RM payment releases with the team and suppliers.
- Ensure applicable discounts are received from suppliers.
- Prepare MIS reports as required by management.
- Provide inputs and observations on company cash flow.
Salary & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate salary payments, including contractor payments, along with related statutory dues.
Stakeholder & Factory Coordination
- Attend to queries and calls from all stakeholders and resolve issues promptly.
- Handle calls from factory teams — release advance payments after document verification, issue cash, release creditor payments, and resolve finance-related issues.
- Coordinate with plant, HR, and contractors for smooth operations.
Banking, Forex & Compliance
- Manage LC (Letter of Credit), BG (Bank Guarantee), Forex, and Import/Export banking compliance; liaise with bankers.
- Monitor LC discounting and prepare DP (Drawing Power) statements.
- Handle e-payments and manage overall company cash flow.
Books Closure
- Ensure accurate monthly and yearly books closing entries as per accounting standards.
Team Management
- Lead, guide, and manage the team to achieve the above objectives.
- Drive productivity and efficiency improvements within the team, contributing to overall cost savings for the company.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, vendor reconciliation, and MIS reporting
- Working knowledge of LC, BG, Forex, and Import/Export banking compliance
- Sound understanding of monthly/yearly book closing processes
- Strong team management and leadership skills
- Good coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in e-payments and cash flow management
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Qualification
- B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA Inter or equivalent (as per company preference)
Experience
- 14+ years of relevant experience in accounts & finance, preferably in a manufacturing/factory environment
- Verify petty cash statements from all factories and issue cash after coordinating with the factory cashier.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
