About Us

Rawatsons Engineers Pvt. Ltd. is a Kolkata-based railway infrastructure construction company. We bid on and execute contracts for Indian zonal railways, RVNL (Rail Vikas Nigam Limited), IRCON, and other leading railway contractors — with work spanning Hbeam bridge sleeper fabrication and installation, foot over bridges (FOBs), girder works, and allied civil/structural contracts across multiple railway divisions.

About the Role

We’re building a complete business automation system — an MIS — on Google Workspace, and we’re looking for someone to own it end to end.

This is a high-ownership role. You’ll sit with people across tendering & BOQ preparation, project execution, billing, procurement, fabrication yard operations, and site teams to understand exactly how work happens today — then design and build clean, automated systems for it using Google Sheets, Apps Script, AppSheet, and other Google Workspace tools.

You’re expected to use AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude as a core part of your daily work — to write and debug code, and to figure things out whenever you’re stuck. We’re not looking for someone who already knows everything; we’re looking for someone resourceful enough to learn fast with these tools.

Key Responsibilities

- Study current workflows across departments — tendering/BOQ, project execution, billing & accounts, procurement, fabrication & site operations, HR — by talking directly to the people doing the work.
- Design and build an integrated MIS on Google Workspace: Sheets as the data backbone,



Apps Script for automation and backend logic, AppSheet for forms/apps, and dashboards (Looker Studio or Sheets) for management reporting.
- Automate manual, repetitive work — data entry, approvals, reminders, report generation— to cut turnaround time and reduce errors.
- Build and maintain MIS dashboards for leadership covering tender pipeline & BStrong hands-on skill with Google Sheets — advanced formulas, QUERY, pivot tables, data validation.OQ status across divisions, project progress, billing/realization status, material and fabrication tracking, and manpower data.
- Actively use ChatGPT/Claude (or similar AI tools) to write, debug, and optimize Apps Script and other code, and to research solutions independently.
- Document every system built (basic SOPs) and train the relevant teams to use it.
- Maintain data integrity and access control across all systems.
- Continuously spot new automation opportunities and pitch them to leadership.

What We’re Looking For

- Strong hands-on skill with Google Sheets — advanced formulas, QUERY, pivot tables, data validation.
- Working knowledge of Google Apps Script, or strong coding aptitude with a genuine willingness to pick it up fast using AI tools.




- Exposure to Google AppSheet or similar no-code app builders is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated comfort using AI coding assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, etc.) — be ready to show this in the interview.
- Genuine curiosity about how a business actually runs — this is not a purely technical, desk-bound role.
- Robust analytical thinking and the ability to turn a messy manual process into a clean automated flow.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer applications, commerce, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience (strong freshers with a portfolio of self-built automations are welcome to apply).

Good to Have

- Experience in construction, infrastructure, or other project-based industries.
- Exposure to Salesforce or other CRM/business systems.
- Familiarity with APIs and integrating Google Workspace with other business tools (accounting software, WhatsApp Business, etc.).
- Basic SQL/database knowledge.
