About the Role

Little Big World is looking for a creative, detail-oriented and passionate Junior Curriculum Developer to join our Curriculum Team. The role will support the development, creation and refinement of age-appropriate curriculum and learning resources for our preschool and daycare programmes.

This role involves translating learning objectives into engaging, experiential and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for young children. The Junior Curriculum Developer will work closely with the Curriculum Team to create practical classroom resources, educational content and Teaching-Learning Materials (TLMs) that teachers can implement effectively.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in developing and refining age-appropriate curriculum plans for preschool and daycare programmes.
- Create engaging lesson plans, activity plans, weekly planners and thematic learning experiences.
- Develop activities across language and early literacy, numeracy, cognitive development, fine and gross motor skills, social-emotional development and creativity.
- Ensure activities are practical, engaging and feasible for classroom implementation.
- Incorporate play-based, experiential and activity-based learning approaches.
- Write clear, engaging and age-appropriate educational content for teachers and young learners.
- Create content for learning modules, classroom experiences, celebrations and culminations.
- Develop stories, rhymes, poems, worksheets, activity instructions, classroom prompts, discussion questions and thematic content.
- Edit and proofread curriculum resources, lesson plans, worksheets, stories,



activity cards and teacher guides.
- Ensure all resources are grammatically accurate, consistent, child-friendly and aligned with curriculum objectives.
- Conceptualise and develop creative Teaching-Learning Materials (TLMs) to support classroom learning.
- Prepare resource briefs and clear instructions for classroom materials.
- Review TLMs for accuracy, usability, durability, age appropriateness and classroom feasibility.
- Research emerging practices and approaches in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE).
- Support the Curriculum Team in identifying new ideas, activities, resources and pedagogical approaches.
- Contribute to the continuous enhancement and enrichment of the preschool and daycare curriculum.
- Benchmark age-appropriate learning experiences and resources wherever relevant.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Education, Psychology, English, Child Development or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in curriculum development, preschool education, content development, teacher training or a related field.
- Strong command of written English and grammar.
- Sound understanding of early childhood development and preschool pedagogy.
- Strong content writing, editing and proofreading skills.
- Creative approach to developing innovative, hands-on learning experiences.
- Ability to simplify concepts and communicate them in child-friendly language.
- Robust attention to detail, organisation and time-management skills.




- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple assignments.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

- Experience working with a preschool or daycare curriculum.
- Experience in creating lesson plans, educational content or classroom resources for young children.
- Familiarity with play-based, experiential and activity-based learning approaches.
- Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with Canva or basic design tools will be an added advantage.
- Willingness to learn, experiment and incorporate feedback.

Training & Support

You do not need to know everything on Day 1. Little Big World will provide the required orientation, context and ongoing support to help you understand our curriculum approach, classroom needs and ways of working. You will also receive regular feedback and guidance from the Curriculum Team.
