Job Title: General Manager (GM) – Electrical Projects

Job Summary:

Aim Electricals is looking for an experienced General Manager to take complete responsibility for the company’s electrical projects, estimation, planning, site execution, billing, manpower, procurement and profitability.

The selected candidate will work directly with the Directors and manage coordination between clients, consultants, vendors, office employees and site teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Take overall responsibility for all ongoing and upcoming electrical projects.
- Review tenders, BOQs, drawings, specifications and project contracts.
- Supervise estimation, costing, rate analysis and quotation preparation.
- Finalise project budgets, execution plans and completion schedules.
- Monitor project progress against committed timelines and budgets.
- Conduct daily and weekly reviews with project managers, engineers and supervisors.
- Monitor site manpower, employee performance, attendance and productivity.
- Ensure proper allocation of engineers, supervisors, technicians and labour.
- Review site measurements, RA bills, final bills, extra items and variation claims.
- Ensure timely submission, certification and collection of project bills.
- Monitor material planning, purchase requirements, deliveries and inventory.
- Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors for competitive rates and timely supply.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects and project management teams.
- Follow up on drawings, technical approvals, work orders, measurements and client decisions.
- Identify delays, technical issues, financial risks and cost overruns.
- Ensure quality, safety and compliance at all project sites.
- Monitor project-wise cost, billing, cash flow and profitability.
- Ensure timely testing, commissioning, documentation and project handover.




- Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly MIS reports to the Directors.
- Develop systems for project tracking, employee accountability and operational control.
- Support business development, client relationships and company growth.

Required Qualifications:

- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 12–18 years of experience in electrical contracting or MEP projects.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior project management or leadership position.
- Strong knowledge of HT/LT systems, substations, transformers, RMUs, VCBs, electrical panels, DG systems, cabling, earthing, lighting and internal electrical works.
- Strong experience in estimation, tendering, execution, billing, procurement and manpower management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and large teams simultaneously.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, AutoCAD, BOQ preparation and MIS reporting.
- Robust leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel and visit project sites as required.

Preferred Candidate:

- Experience working with an electrical contractor or MEP contracting company.
- Experience handling commercial, hospitality, industrial and large residential projects.
- Knowledge of MSEDCL procedures, electrical inspector approvals and liaisoning will be an advantage.
- Candidate must be accountable, result-oriented and capable of independently managing company operations.
