Job Description – Finance & Accounts Manager

About the Role

Premansh Foundation is looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Finance & Accounts Manager to manage day-to-day accounting, financial documentation, statutory compliance, budgeting, and financial reporting for the organization.

The ideal candidate should have experience in accounting and preferably have exposure to NGO/Non-Profit accounting, CSR projects, grants, audits, and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

- Maintain day-to-day books of accounts and financial records.
- Record receipts, payments, expenses, purchases, and other financial transactions.
- Maintain cash book, bank book, ledgers, and supporting documents.
- Perform regular bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of bills, vouchers, invoices, and receipts.
- Monitor project-wise and organization-wise expenses.

2. NGO & Project Finance

- Maintain separate financial records for different projects/programs.
- Track project budgets, expenses, and fund utilization.
- Prepare project-wise expenditure statements and utilization reports.
- Support preparation of budgets and financial proposals for CSR/grant projects.
- Monitor fund utilization against approved budgets.
- Maintain records required for donor and CSR reporting.

3. Statutory Compliance

- Assist in timely compliance with applicable TDS, GST, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements, wherever applicable.
- Maintain records and documents required for statutory filings.
- Coordinate with Chartered Accountant/auditors for financial and statutory requirements.




- Ensure proper maintenance of NGO-related financial documentation.

4. Payroll & Payments

- Process monthly salary and staff payments.
- Maintain payroll-related records and supporting documents.
- Verify invoices, bills, and payment requests before processing.
- Ensure payments are properly authorized and documented.

5. Audit & Financial Reporting

- Prepare schedules and documents required for internal and statutory audits.
- Coordinate with auditors and the organization's CA.
- Assist in preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Maintain audit-ready financial records throughout the year.
- Address accounting/documentation queries raised during audits.

6. MIS & Management Reporting

- Prepare monthly financial reports and expense summaries.
- Track income, expenditure, budgets, and fund balances.
- Prepare financial MIS for management review.
- Highlight significant budget variances or financial discrepancies.
- Support management in financial planning and decision-making.

7. Documentation & Internal Controls

- Maintain organized physical and digital financial records.
- Ensure expenses are supported by appropriate bills, invoices, approvals, and payment proofs.
- Follow internal financial policies and approval procedures.
- Assist in developing and maintaining proper financial controls.
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of financial information.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.




- 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting/finance.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Working knowledge of Tally / Tally Prime and MS Excel.
- Positive understanding of bank reconciliation, ledgers, vouchers, and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of TDS/GST/Income Tax compliance will be preferred.
- Experience with NGO, CSR, grant, or donor-funded projects will be an advantage.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in:

- NGO / Non-profit organizations
- CSR-funded projects
- Grant management and fund utilization
- Utilization Certificates (UCs)
- Donor financial reporting
- NGO audits
- Project-wise accounting
- Coordination with Chartered Accountants and auditors

Salary

As per experience and organizational norms.
