Job Description

We are looking for an experienced SPM Assembly Engineer with 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Special Purpose Machine and automation machine assembly. The candidate should have practical knowledge of mechanical assembly, machine alignment, pneumatic systems, and machine trial activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Assemble SPM and automation machines as per engineering and assembly drawings.
- Perform assembly of machine structures, mechanisms, fixtures, jigs, and tooling.
- Carry out accurate machine alignment, leveling, and component setting.
- Read and understand mechanical and assembly drawings.
- Check dimensions, clearances, fits, and component orientation during assembly.
- Install and connect pneumatic components such as cylinders, valves, FRL units, and tubing.
- Identify and rectify mechanical assembly issues during machine building.
- Coordinate with Design, Electrical, and PLC teams during machine integration.
- Support machine trial, debugging, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Perform necessary mechanical corrections during machine trials.
- Maintain proper quality and accuracy during assembly.
- Support installation and commissioning at customer sites when required.




- Coordinate with junior assembly team members and technicians.

Required Skills

- Hands-on experience in SPM / automation machine assembly.
- Good knowledge of mechanical components and machine mechanisms.
- Experience in machine alignment and precision setting.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems.
- Experience with fixtures, tooling, cylinders, sensors, and automation components.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualification

- Diploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant SPM / automation assembly experience.
- Experience in automotive automation or special-purpose machines will be preferred.

Candidate Profile

- Experienced candidate with practical knowledge of SPM machine assembly.
- Should be capable of handling assembly and machine trial activities.
- Valuable coordination and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel for customer-site installation and commissioning when required.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
