Pre-Primary Teacher – Job Description

A Pre-Primary Teacher is responsible for teaching young children (ages 2.5–5 years) and helping them develop basic skills through play-based and activity-based learning. The focus is on early childhood development, including social, emotional, and motor skills.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Plan and conduct fun, engaging lessons using play-way methods
- Teach basic concepts like alphabets, numbers, colors, shapes, and rhymes
- Develop children’s language, communication, and social skills
- Organize activities such as storytelling, singing, drawing, and games
- Ensure a safe, caring, and stimulating classroom environment
- Monitor and assess children’s progress informally
- Help children develop valuable habits, manners, and routines
- Communicate regularly with parents about child development
- Participate in school events, celebrations, and activities

Skills Required





- Love and patience for working with young children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Creativity and enthusiasm
- Understanding of early childhood education methods
- Classroom and behavior management skills

Educational Qualifications

- Preferred: Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE), NTT (Nursery Teacher Training), or Montessori training
- Graduation + teaching diploma is an added advantage

Work Environment

- Pre-schools, kindergartens, play schools
- Activity-based and child-friendly settings
- Fixed school hours with occasional event duties

Experience Required:-2-3 Years

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
