Job Summary

We are looking for a Proposal Engineer responsible for preparing technical and commercial proposals, reviewing tender documents, estimating project costs, coordinating with internal teams and vendors, and ensuring timely submission of accurate and competitive proposals.

Key Responsibilities

- Study and analyze tender documents, BOQs, drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals based on project requirements.
- Prepare and review BOQ, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and rate analysis.
- Obtain and compare quotations from contractors, suppliers, and vendors.
- Coordinate with the Sales, CRM, Project, Purchase, Accounts, and Engineering teams.
- Prepare tender submissions and ensure all required documents are complete.
- Review project scope, specifications, terms & conditions, and contractual requirements.
- Assist in preparing project budgets and cost sheets.
- Identify cost variations, exclusions, risks, and commercial requirements.




- Maintain records of submitted proposals, quotations, and tender documents.
- Follow up on submitted proposals and coordinate for clarifications when required.
- Support management in evaluating project feasibility and profitability.
- Ensure proposals are submitted accurately and within the required deadlines.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of BOQ, estimation, costing, and rate analysis.
- Ability to read and understand civil/architectural drawings.
- Knowledge of tendering and proposal preparation.
- Robust Excel skills.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
- Good analytical, communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work within deadlines.

Qualification

B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Preferred Experience

Experience in real estate, construction, infrastructure, tendering, estimation, or project costing will be preferred.
