Mechanical Design Engineer – Job Description

Position: Mechanical Design Engineer
Experience: 2–5 Years
Qualification: B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Job Responsibilities:

- Prepare and develop mechanical designs, layouts, and detailed engineering drawings.
- Create 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar design software.
- Prepare fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing drawings with proper dimensions and specifications.
- Perform basic design calculations, material selection, and component sizing.
- Design and develop piping systems, equipment, supports, and mechanical components as required.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with production, fabrication, procurement, and site teams for design-related requirements.
- Modify designs based on site conditions, client requirements, and engineering changes.
- Prepare BOQ/BOM, MTO,



and material specifications.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards and project specifications.
- Coordinate with clients and project teams to resolve technical/design issues.
- Maintain proper documentation and revision control of drawings.

Required Skills:

- Positive knowledge of mechanical design and engineering principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design software.
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment and piping design is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office and basic engineering calculations.
