Job Opening: Head of Human Resources (HOD – HR)

Position Summary

Mechtech Inframine Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Head of Human Resources (HOD – HR) to lead the complete HR function for our heavy engineering manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in heavy fabrication machinery/manufacturing industries, thorough knowledge of Indian labour laws, Factory Act, statutory compliance, and liaison with various government authorities.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the complete HR & Administration function.
- Develop and implement HR policies, systems, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with the Factories Act, 1948 (or applicable Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code as notified), Labour Codes, and other statutory regulations.
- Liaise with government authorities including:
- Factory Inspectorate
- GPCB (Gujarat Pollution Control Board)
- Labour Department
- EPFO
- ESIC
- Industrial Safety & Health Department
- Fire Department
- Professional Tax and other statutory bodies
- Handle statutory inspections, audits, and legal compliances.
- Drive manpower planning, talent acquisition, succession planning, and workforce development.
- Manage employee relations, disciplinary matters, grievance handling, and domestic inquiries.
- Oversee payroll inputs, statutory compliances, contractor compliance, and labour management.
- Implement Performance Management System (KRA/KPI), employee engagement, and training initiatives.




- Support management in organizational development and change management.
- Ensure compliance with EHS, safety policies, and HR documentation.
- Coordinate with plant operations to maintain a productive and compliant work environment.

Required Qualifications

- MBA / MSW / PGDM in Human Resources.

Experience

- 15–20 years of progressive HR experience.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role in a heavy fabrication, heavy engineering, mining equipment, crusher, cement plant, steel, process plant, or capital equipment manufacturing industry.
- Hands-on experience in factory-based HR operations is mandatory.
