We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer - Java with Spring Boot to lead backend engineering for resilient, cloud-ready services at scale. You will build Java 21 microservices with Quarkus and Spring, strengthen security and CI/CD, and guide the team through technical decisions—apply now.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot
- Design and implement microservices architectures running on cloud platforms
- Create and integrate RESTful APIs that connect backend services to frontend applications
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that scale and stay maintainable
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical leadership for engineering team members
- Drive architectural decisions aligned with quality, security, reliability and compliance standards
- Follow Agile and DevOps practices throughout the software development lifecycle
- Own CI/CD pipelines and support continuous delivery processes
- Diagnose and fix complex technical problems across the application stack
- Use containerization and orchestration tools to deploy and manage services

Requirements





- Proven professional experience (5+ years) in software design and development with Java 21, Quarkus and Java/JEE
- Deep expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Security and JUnit testing
- Solid understanding of relational databases, including Oracle, Sybase and PL/SQL
- Strong background in microservices architecture with exposure to Azure Cloud and Serverless
- Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes concepts such as pods, containers, services and Istio
- Experience working with Docker and Redis in production environments
- Demonstrated ability to create RESTful APIs and integrate backend with frontend layers
- Familiarity with Git/GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Agile ways of working
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a closely related discipline

Nice to have

- Understanding of HTML5, CSS3 and React (including Hooks) for UI work
- Working knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript
- Exposure to performance tuning and DevOps
- Ability to implement UX designs into responsive, scalable and maintainable UI solutions using common standards and patterns
