Job Responsibilities

- Design and develop industrial automation machines and packaging machinery using SolidWorks.
- Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Develop machine layouts, mechanisms, structures, conveyors, fixtures, and machine components.
- Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and maintain engineering documentation.
- Select suitable mechanical components such as bearings, shafts, gearboxes, pneumatic cylinders, sensors, motors, chains, sprockets, etc.
- Perform basic mechanical calculations for shafts, structures, mechanisms, and drive systems.
- Coordinate with the Controls/PLC, Production, Purchase, and Assembly teams.
- Review designs for manufacturability, assembly, maintenance, and safety.
- Modify and improve existing machine designs based on site and customer requirements.
- Support machine assembly, testing, installation, and commissioning when required.
- Prepare customer-related technical drawings and documentation.
- Ensure designs meet project specifications, quality requirements, and applicable safety standards.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience in SolidWorks.
- Good knowledge of 3D modelling, sheet metal, weldments, assemblies, and 2D drawings.




- Good understanding of machine design and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of mechanical components, pneumatics, power transmission, bearings, shafts, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, etc.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and convert concepts into practical machine designs.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Valuable communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Experience

Experience in any of the following will be an advantage:

- Packaging machinery
- Conveyor systems
- Case packers / case erectors / case sealers
- Pick & place systems
- Robotic automation
- Pneumatic automation
- Special Purpose Machines (SPM)
- FMCG / Pharma / Food packaging machinery

Educational Qualification

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience

4–8 years of relevant experience in machine design, automation machinery, SPM, packaging machinery, or industrial equipment design.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
