§ Restocks, labels and maintains inventory, submits requisitions, collects and distributes instruments, trays and facility medical equipment.

§ Performs environmental maintenance duties and assists in maintaining inventory levels in sterile processing, the operating room, and in equipment storage areas.

§ Ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures, objectives and quality improvement standards, safety, environmental and infection control protocols.

§ To conduct periodic sterility checks along with sterilization process monitoring and record maintenance.

§ Responsible for routine maintenance check and daily inspection of all type of CSSD machines according to manufacturer recommendation and preventive maintenance procedures.

§ Oversee the quality indicators while decontaminating the equipment’s.

§ Monitors biological and chemical wash solution to ensure quality and consistency for decontamination of instruments and medical equipment.

§ Monitoring and maintaining registers like Autoclave log register, Recall registers, ETO registers etc.

§ Monitor surgery schedules daily,



identifying general, specific and potential needs for all cases and planning activities aligned to the same.

§ Maintain appropriate records to remain compliant with the regulatory agencies

§ Demonstrates a basic understanding of technical data and product information on instruments and equipment

§ Education and training of new entrants, assessment and development

§ Work in conjunction with inter-departmental staff to provide timely sterile products.

§ Ensure there is appropriate handover communication at each change of shift

§ Maintain solid working/collaborative relationships with other departments to ensure flow and continuity of services

Co-ordination with maintenance team and ensuring quality steam, water and electric supply.
